Perhaps CD is a person who has taken the saying by Lao Tze (‘Tao Te Ching’) - “A Journey begins with one single step”. Her first step took her from the Midwest to the East Coast, and the single steps became many. She has traveled through enough countries around the world (approximately 65) to be able to ponder, “Do you count the countries by what they were when you went there or
by what they are now?” She chooses the latter option, as it gives a larger total. She lived in Bangladesh for three years and most of her international travel has focused on Asia and the Pacific.

She loves to wear her Firefly Design Africa · Asia clothes because they let her share a bit of her love for Asia with her friends and colleagues. She also enjoys the fact that complete strangers come up to her to compliment her on them or to talk about their interest in Asia. She suggests
that the label include a warning, “Do not wear if you are feeling anit-social.”
CD has worked all her life trying to make the United States a responsible world citizen.
She will retire knowing that there is still plenty of work for generations to come.
